New York City, New York: a city ablaze with palatable energy, unflappable culture, culinary adventure and luxury hotels. Navigating the city always reveals new surprises; neighborhoods uncover themselves street by street, a hidden restaurant or luxury boutique steps from places you’ve been a thousand times before—it’s what I really love about New York City. New hotels and old favorites, new-to-me experiences are always popping up. Located in SoHo, The Dominick is a gateway to the surrounding city, but staying on property is just as satisfying. A perfect location, luxury accommodations, superior personal service, and Five-Diamond hotel status merge uptown elegance with downtown edge at this property.
The seamless decor from the public spaces to chic rooms flow effortlessly
The Dominick is a member of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts Legend Collection, and legendary is appropriate for this particular property. Opening the drapes, the floor-to-ceiling view of the Empire State Building from my room is spectacular. Fendi Casa custom furnishings titivate the room with chic sofas, chairs, headboards, side tables and comfortable settee; an oversized bathroom complete with rain shower and soaking tub make for an urban oasis in the Big Apple. Even the hallways have luxury finishes, noticing stingray leather accents, marble and wood highlights and thoughtful touches in unexpected spaces.
Stunning views from your room
For guests looking to elevate their stay, quite literally, the ten two-bedroom penthouse suites include an expansive terrace with unrivaled views of the Manhattan skyline from the top floors of the hotel; a perfect perch to take in a sunset over the Hudson River and unique vantage point of One World Trade Center. For guests of the penthouse suites, a Luxury Ambassador team affords a host of complimentary amenities from pre-arrival through checkout for an unforgettable stay.

The cabanas on the terrace are a perfect spot to soak in the sun.Â
Sauntering into Terrace on 7, the indoor-outdoor space is home to a seasonal 6,000 square foot pool and terrace. We belly up to the indoor bar for a cocktail, with seasonal specialties prepared by some of the nicest bartenders I’ve experienced in New York. Behind us, an 18-seat Japanese-inspired dining room hosts master sushi Chef Nobuhiro Mori, whose culinary skills have previously graced Hasaki and Nobu, for excellent sushi offerings.
The stunning lobby is a destination itself within the hotel.
The lobby of the hotel is something to sit and take in itself: soaring ceilings, fireplaces, water features, and a showcase of Baccarat crystal are all beautiful and intrinsically integrated into the stunning design of the space. Coffee service from the mezzanine is an interesting vantage point from above of the lobby below, a perfect way to start the morning.
Opening in the fall of 2019, The Vestry will bring a new signature restaurant to the hotel. Open for dinner, the 80-seat restaurant emphasizes New American cooking and is helmed by Michelin-Starred Chef Shaun Hergatt. Specializing in seafood and vegetable dishes, the a la carte seasonal menu will be a welcome accent to the already striking hotel.
Whether looking for a relaxing escape in the city to stay in your room and curl up with a good book, a home base for the hustle and bustle of New York, a stay adjacent to world-class shopping and dining, or even a stay-cation as a New Yorker yourself, The Dominick is a magnificent stay in New York City.
